Charlotte Dujardin Suspended by FEI, Withdraws from Paris Games
Effective Immediately
The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) has announced the provisional suspension of British Dressage athlete Charlotte Dujardin, effective immediately. The suspension follows an ongoing investigation by the FEI into potential anti-doping violations.
Joint-Most Decorated Female Olympian
Dujardin, Britain's joint-most decorated female Olympian with six Olympic medals, has made the difficult decision to withdraw from the upcoming Paris Games due to the suspension. The FEI confirmed that she will not participate in any competitions while the investigation is underway.
Outstanding Performances
Despite the suspension, Dujardin has recently showcased her exceptional talent with strong performances. Notably, she and her mount Imhotep secured a victory at the FEI Dressage World Cup at The London International Horse Show. She also delivered an impressive display with Mount St John Freestyle at the FEI Dressage World Cup in Amsterdam.
